Cookie policy
Updated 25 October 2026
Direct answer
AgentShed does not set an advertising cookie. Vercel Web Analytics is on every page. Vercel's notice, read on 25 October 2026, says it uses no third-party cookie and a 24-hour request hash. Plausible, if switched on, is the other visit counter. A future ad cookie waits for a consent control.
AgentShed is designed not to set tracking cookies.
What runs
- The site itself. Pages are static. The newsletter and feedback forms post to this site. They do not drop a marketing cookie in order to do that.
- Vercel Web Analytics is loaded on every page. Vercel's notice, read on 25 October 2026, says it does not use a third-party cookie. It identifies a visit by a hash of the incoming request and discards that session after 24 hours. It is not an advertising tag. The privacy notice records the same source, including the point that a data point is not stored against an IP address.
- Plausible, if it is switched on with a domain setting, is used for aggregate visit counts. Plausible's script is built to work without cookies. It is not an advertising tag.
- Beehiiv is called from the server when you subscribe, not embedded as a third-party frame, so the signup does not need to set a Beehiiv cookie in your browser.
If a cookie is strictly necessary for a feature we add later, it will be listed here. UK PECR requires consent for non-essential cookies, including most analytics cookies. This site does not put a consent banner in front of the first paragraph because the two visit counters are, on their publishers' notices, not third-party cookies. That is a choice about the current build, not a claim that every future ad tag would be exempt.
Advertising and sponsors
Sponsor slots are off. If a future sponsor or display ad sets a cookie, or reads an advertising identifier, it will not be switched on until this page names it and a consent control exists. Affiliate links, when they exist, are ordinary links with rel="sponsored". Clicking through to another site puts you under that site's cookie policy.
How to refuse
You can block JavaScript, use a browser that blocks third-party requests, or simply not subscribe. There is no account cookie to clear, because there is no account.

Questions
Why is there no cookie banner?
Vercel's notice, checked on 25 October 2026, says Web Analytics does not use a third-party cookie. A visit is a hash of the request, kept for 24 hours. Plausible, if it is on, is also built without cookies. An advertising cookie would need a consent control on this page first.
Does the feedback form set a cookie?
The form posts to the server. It does not need a tracking cookie to store the note. The privacy notice covers the message itself.
What about embedded vendor sites?
A link to a vendor is a link. Their cookie policy starts when you are on their site, not when you read a playbook here.
