Repurpose one work note into social posts with Claude

Direct answer

Take one true note about finished work and ask Claude for a Google Business post, an Instagram caption, and a short LinkedIn post. You approve every word and you only use photos you have the right to publish. Nothing is auto-posted. Not live-tested yet.

Claude's free tier is enough to try a few posts. Pro was listed at $20 a month or $17 billed annually, about £15 or £13. Scheduling tools are optional and not part of this cost. Confirm Anthropic's pricing page.

GBP figures are a budgeting conversion at £1 = $1.33 and €1 = £0.86, rounded to the nearest pound, fixed for this edition on 24 October 2026. They are not a live rate and not a quote. Vendor list prices are usually quoted before tax.

Who it is for

A business that should show its work and does not, because writing three versions feels like a second job. Not a brand agency, and not a place that needs daily posts to survive.

A Google Business Profile post about a finished local job is often more useful to a trade or a cafe than a LinkedIn essay. If you only have energy for one, do that one. The other two drafts can wait in a note.

Do not ask the model for hashtags that stuff nearby town names you do not serve. That is how you attract enquiries you will have to refuse.

What you need

  • A note about work that actually happened, and a photo you took or have a licence to use.
  • Accounts on the networks you will post to. You will paste the text yourself.
  • A Claude account.

Step by step

  1. 01

    Start from something that happened

Write four lines: the job or the thing you made, the town in general terms, what changed, and which photo you will use. No client's full address. Do not ask for a post about work you did not do, a review nobody wrote, or a before-and-after you cannot show. If the note is thin, do not post. Silence is allowed.

  2. 02

Ask for three versions and nothing extra

In Claude, request a Google Business Profile post, an Instagram caption, and a short LinkedIn post from that note only. Say not to add offers, prices, or claims that are not in the note, not to invent a customer quote, and not to hashtag the client's name. Give your business name and town so it does not guess a different one.

  3. 03

Edit as if it were an ad

If you will boost the post, or it is obviously promotional, UK advertising rules apply: do not mislead, and label an ad when it is not obvious that it is one. Cut any result you cannot evidence. Read it aloud. If you would not say it to a customer standing in front of you, do not publish it.

  4. 04

    Post it yourself

Copy, paste, and attach the real photo. This guide does not connect Claude to Instagram, LinkedIn, or Google. A scheduler is reasonable once you are posting several times a week and you still approve the queue. Auto-posting a fresh model draft is how a wrong price goes live while you are on a job.

  5. 05

    Keep the notes that worked

Save the source note next to the posts you were happy with. Next time, reuse the shape, not the invented specifics. Delete photos that show a customer's face, a child, or a number plate unless you have a clear yes. A like is not that yes.

What can go wrong

  • A fake testimonial

Asking for social proof is how you get a sentence no customer said. Use their words, with permission, or do not use a quote. Invented reviews are a fast way to a complaint.

  • A client's home, identifiable

A house front plus a town plus a distinctive job can identify someone. Describe the work, not the door number. Ask before you show a face.

  • Prices the model rounded

If your note did not include a price, the caption must not add one. A rounded 'from £99' that you did not write is a published offer.

UK notes

Costs, including VAT

About £0–£15 a month before VAT for Claude, at the planning rate. The networks themselves are free to post on. Boosting a post is a separate advertising spend and is not included here. Keep the software invoice if you claim the subscription as a cost.

Data flow

Your note might name a client or show their property. That can be personal data. Sending it to Claude means Anthropic processes it. Strip names and precise addresses before you paste. Photos of people need a reason and, in practice, a clear agreement. The published post is then on a US company's network as well as in your account. Your privacy notice should not pretend you never use these tools if you do.

HMRC and Making Tax Digital

Advertising and software can be business costs when they are wholly for the business. That is not automatic, and HMRC's expenses guidance is the reference, not this paragraph. Nothing in the posting habit is a Making Tax Digital record. Do not treat social posts as evidence of income. Your invoices are the record.

Practical orientation for a UK reader. Not tax, legal, or accounting advice.

Questions people ask

How often should I post?

Often enough that the note is still true. Once a week of real work beats a daily cadence of filler. This guide does not claim a reach or a sales effect, because we have not measured one.

Can I queue a month of posts?

Only if each one is tied to something that has already happened, or to a fact that will still be true on the day it publishes, such as your opening hours. Do not queue invented jobs.

What about TikTok or a blog?

The same rule: one true note, you approve the words, you own the pictures. Add a network when you will actually look at it. Three neglected accounts are not a strategy.
