Grok

Direct answer

Grok is the research chat in the supplier guide. It may list a price only when a page states it, and you open that page. xAI's docs in October 2026 put Grok Bot on Premium, not on the cheaper Plus plan. This library uses the chat for a brief, not an agent that emails suppliers.

Occasional supplier research where you will open every link before a number reaches a customer.

Watch out. Grok Bot, the agent product, is not the same as Grok chat. xAI's docs say Bot is on Premium and above, not on the Plus plan.

WebsitePricing

The X Subscription docs, updated 11 October 2026, list Plus at $8 a month and Premium at $30 a month. Grok Bot is included from Premium upward. Plus includes Grok usage and does not include Grok Bot. Supplier research in these guides is a chat brief, so you may not need the bot product.

Free usage is limited. If the answer starts estimating prices, throw the answer out. The prompt forbids estimates because the product will offer them anyway.

A Grok research brief for supplier quotes

Give Grok a fixed brief for supplier research: three companies, their websites, and a price only when that price is printed on the page you are given. Open every link before you trust a figure or put it in a quote. Estimates are not allowed. Not live-tested yet.

Questions

Can it email the supplier?

Not in the playbook. You send any enquiry yourself, after you have read the page the brief cited.

What did Premium cost?

The playbook records the figure from xAI's docs on the accessed date, including the planning conversion into pounds. Read the pricing link before you subscribe.

Is a cited price safe to quote to a customer?

No. Stock, delivery, and VAT treatment change. The research task stops at the source. The quote task is a separate document you check.
