Lindy

Direct answer

Lindy is the no-code phone agent in the trades receptionist guide. Public pages have not agreed on one small-business price. Budget a paid seat, a number fee, and call minutes, and stop if you cannot offer a UK-dialable number. The test log is still pending. Smith.ai is the hosted alternative, billed per call.

A missed-call message taker, if your customers can dial the number as a normal local call.

Watch out. Public pricing pages do not tell one stable story. Budget a paid seat plus a number fee plus call minutes, and confirm the UK number first.

WebsitePricing

Lindy's marketing pricing page has listed a Team plan from $49.99 per user a month for 5,000 credits, with top-ups at $10 per 1,000 credits. The docs also describe Plus, Pro, and Max, and tell you to read Settings, Billing. Phone docs describe a monthly number fee and per-minute credits, and one current guide tells you to pick a US or Canadian area code.

That conflict is the point of the receptionist playbook. If you cannot buy a UK number, do not divert a British customer's missed calls to an American one.

Missed-call answering for trades with Lindy

A Lindy phone agent can take a missed-call message for a tradesperson: name, number, address, and the job. It must not quote a price. Only buy a number if customers in the UK can dial it without an international code. This page has not been live-tested.

Questions

Why the UK number rule?

A customer with an emergency will not dial an international number, or they will pay to do it and blame you. No UK number means this tool is the wrong receptionist.

Can it book the diary?

Not in the playbook. It collects a message. You decide whether the job exists.

How does it compare with Smith.ai?

The receptionist comparison puts them side by side. Lindy is a tool you configure. Smith.ai is a service with a call bundle.
