Data entry from PDFs and forms
Direct answer
Data entry from a PDF or a form means a model reads the page and you check the row before it is typed. Claude can do the reading. A blank cell is the right result when a figure is unclear. The sheet is a working list, not the statutory record, and nothing here files a return.
For forms, supplier PDFs, and application packs that are not receipt photos. The receipt playbook is a different pile, with different columns. Both stop at a checked row.
Keep the original file next to the row. If they disagree, the file wins. The PDF playbook is the setup. Receipt photos stay on the bookkeeping playbook.

Data entry from PDFs and forms with Claude
Data entry from a PDF or a form is a row you check, not a file the model files. Claude can read the page into a sheet. If a figure is unclear, the cell stays blank and the original stays attached. The row is not your statutory record. Nothing here has been live-tested.
Questions
How is this different from receipt capture?
Receipts are photos of things you bought, heading for the books. This task is any other PDF or form. Do not mix the columns. Both still need a person to accept the row.
What if a total is smudged?
Leave the cell blank and keep the file. A guessed total that looks tidy is worse than a gap you can see.
Does the sheet satisfy Making Tax Digital?
Not by itself. If you are in scope, you still need compatible software for the digital records and the updates. A working sheet is not that submission.
