Draft a weekly client report in Claude
Direct answer
Draft a weekly client report by pasting figures you already trust into Claude and sending the prose yourself. On 25 October 2026 Free was $0, and Pro was $17 a month billed annually at $200 up front or $20 monthly, before tax. The model must not invent a number. This has not been live-tested.

Who it is for
A consultant or small agency that already has the week's figures in a sheet and needs the email, not a new dashboard.
The Monday reminder of your own lists is the admin digest. It should not contain this client's figures.
File the sent report in the client folder. If the week included a call, the tasks from it belong on the Fathom page or the Meet notes page, not inside the prose as a surprise recording.
What you need
- A sheet or note of this week's figures that you already believe.
- A Claude account. Free is enough to try.
- The client's name spelled the way you already write it in email.
Step by step
01
Put the week's facts in a note you can check
Three to eight lines: what was done, the number you are willing to stand behind, and anything blocked. If a number is not in the note, it must not appear in the email. Do not connect Claude to the bank, the ad account, or the client's inbox. The Monday admin digest is a reminder of your own lists. This page is a report to someone else.
02
Use a Project and forbid new numbers
The pricing table listed Projects as up to 5 on Free. Create one for client reports. In the instructions, say: use only the figures in the message, write 'not supplied' when a figure is missing, and do not add praise you were not given. The same page says prices do not include applicable tax, and that Pro is the paid step when Free is not enough.
03
Paste the note and ask for a short email
Ask for a subject line and a few short paragraphs a client can read on a phone. Name the week. Do not ask for a strategy, a forecast, or a comparison with last month unless those numbers are in the note. If the draft adds a percentage, delete it. This site does not publish percentages, and your report should not invent one either.
04
Check every figure against the note
Read the draft next to the sheet. A swapped digit is the failure that matters. If Claude wrote a number you did not type, remove the sentence. If it softened a delay into a success, put the delay back. You are the person the client will answer.
05
Send it from your own mailbox
Copy the text into the email you were going to send. Do not give the model permission to send. Do not attach the chat. If the client is in Outlook, the triage guide files the reply later. It does not write this report. Keep a copy of what you sent in the client folder, if you have made one.
06
Pay for Pro only when the cap stops a report you already check
Free is $0. Pro was $17 a month with $200 billed up front for the year, or $20 if billed monthly, before tax. The page says UK customers inside the 14-day withdrawal period can request a refund in the app. Read that section before you rely on it. This site has not cancelled a plan. More usage does not remove the check against the sheet.
What can go wrong
A percentage that was not in the note
Growth, conversion, and hours are the usual inventions. If you did not type the denominator, it is not in the email.
Connecting the bank so the report writes itself
This guide does not do that. A figure you did not read is a figure you cannot defend.
One Project shared across every client's secrets
Keep the instructions generic. Paste one client's week at a time. Do not upload a folder of other clients' files to make the prose sound informed.
UK notes
Costs, including VAT
Trying this on Free is £0. Pro at $17 a month on the annual price is about £13, and $20 monthly is about £15, at £1 = $1.33 fixed on 24 October 2026 and rounded to the nearest pound. The annual charge was shown as $200 up front, about £150 on the same rate. Tax is extra, as the pricing page says. The rate is not a quote.
Data flow
A client report often names a person and a commercial result. Pasting it into Claude sends that text to Anthropic. Do not include bank logins, card numbers, health details, or a client's confidential customer list. The pricing page says model training on the individual plans is opt-out. Read the current control before you paste. UK GDPR still needs a reason you can explain to the client if their data is in the note.
HMRC and Making Tax Digital
The report is not a VAT return, a Self Assessment, or a Making Tax Digital update. If you mention money, it has to match the invoice you already issued or the figure the client gave you. An accountant reading this page still files through their own software. Claude does not submit anything to HMRC.
Practical orientation for a UK reader. Not tax, legal, or accounting advice.

Questions people ask
Is this the Monday admin digest?
No. That digest reminds you of your own mail, calendar, and overdue invoices. This page is a report you send to a client, from figures you already have. Do not pipe one into the other.
Do I need Pro?
Not to try a report. Free is $0 and includes up to 5 projects on the table we read. Pro is the later decision when the cap stops you. The prices above are the 25 October 2026 list, before tax.
Can it pull last week's numbers from my email?
Not in this setup. You paste the note. A connector that reads the client's mailbox is a different permission, and this guide does not ask for it.
