Direct answer
In October 2026 the always-on agents split by country. Grok Bot is available in the UK. Personal ChatGPT Pro does not include Dots in the UK. Muse is reportedly unavailable here. Gemini Spark excludes the UK. ChatGPT agent mode, Operator, and Atlas are retired. This roundup is desk-researched.
October 2026 is the month a UK reader has to check the country before the slogan. Always-on agents shipped. Several of them do not include Britain.
What a UK reader can open
Grok Bot is xAI's always-on agent. It has been in beta since 11 August 2026, with its own cloud computer. xAI's consumer terms cover UK residents, so the page marks it available. Tagging @bot on X is not available for a UK-based X account. It leads the comparison.
Manus publishes a UK site. The Manus 2.0 post says it is available on the web, desktop, and mobile.
Claude Cowork is on Anthropic's supported-regions list, and that list includes the United Kingdom. It is included with paid Claude plans.
Copilot Cowork is on Microsoft's UK pages. Microsoft 365 Copilot is listed at £23.10 per user a month, paid yearly, excluding VAT, and Cowork is marked metered.
What a personal UK account cannot use
Dots launched at DevDay on 29 September 2026. OpenAI's help says personal Pro, including Pro 100, Pro 200, and Pro 500, includes dots outside the UK. Business Premium is described as rolling out worldwide, which is not the same as a promise that a given workspace qualifies.
Muse launched on 8 September 2026. Meta's post said it was rolling out in the US. The subscription help lists $20 and $100 tiers and says plans are not available in all locations. It is reportedly not available in the UK. That "reportedly" is a secondary source, not Meta's launch post.
Gemini Spark is Google's 24/7 agent. Google's help excludes the United Kingdom, along with the EEA, Switzerland, and Nigeria.
The tracker is the table, and it has a signup for those three.
What was switched off
ChatGPT agent mode, Operator, and ChatGPT Atlas are retired. OpenAI's help says the agent is no longer available, the Operator site is no longer accessible, and Atlas has been retired. The ChatGPT playbooks on this site were already drafts you send yourself. They stay that way.
The other shelves
General agents include Manus and Genspark. Perplexity Comet is the agent browser. Lindy, n8n, Relevance AI, and Zapier Agents are builders. Zapier's help says Agents are moving to AI by Zapier. None of those pages was a hands-on test. The agents guide is the map.
Questions
Is this a test of the products?
No. It is a reading of official pages on 27 October 2026, plus one secondary report for Muse in the UK. The badge says desk-researched. A later note will say so if someone runs a product.
Which agent should a UK reader open first?
Grok Bot, if you want an always-on agent and a plan that includes it. Manus and Claude Cowork are the other two in the comparison. The tracker is the full country list.
What happened to ChatGPT agent mode and Atlas?
OpenAI's help says ChatGPT agent is no longer available, the Operator website is no longer accessible, and ChatGPT Atlas has been retired. The ChatGPT playbooks on this site never used them. They use a Project you copy from.
